Dr. Tina Schmitt
Tina Schmitt studied Biomedical Engineering with the focus on Neural Engineering
as well as Medical Physics at the University of Applied Sciences Saarbrücken,
Germany where she received her B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in 2009 and 2010, respectively.
During her Bachelor studies she did a four months’ internship at the Arizona State
University in Phoenix, Arizona, US.
Following her M.Sc., in 2013, she did her Ph.D. in the Biological Psychology with Christiane Thiel at the University of Oldenburg on dopaminergic modulation of the auditory cortex. Until 2016 she worked as postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Cognitive and Developmental Psychology at the University of Kaiserslautern, Germany. At the same time, she was Scientific Coordinator of Center for Cognitive Science. During the PhD as well as the postdoc period she published scientific papers. Starting from 2016 she worked as MR engineer in the Neuroimaging Unit of the University of Oldenburg managing the MRI and in parts the MEG. She supports researchers during the preparation of their experiments, handling of the additional equipment and guaranties the trouble-free running of the MRI.
